About the Role
The Microsoft 365 Security team is looking for a talented Software Engineer II to design and build scalable, secure, and intuitive cybersecurity solutions. If you're driven by innovation, collaboration, and the chance to make a global impact—this is your moment.
You'll work on cutting-edge tools using AI, ML, and Big Data to enhance Microsoft’s email and messaging protection systems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop enterprise-level security features in Windows

Debug and fix high-impact customer-reported issues

Build and deploy high-quality software at scale

Collaborate with engineers across Microsoft to resolve escalations

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development

Improve tools and processes for long-term product quality
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or Mathematics

5+ years' experience in:

Backend programming (.NET or Java)

Online services and fault-tolerant systems

System and distributed architecture
-
Cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)

Excellent understanding of algorithms and data structures

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with global or cross-cultural development teams

Familiarity with full-stack cloud applications

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
