About the Role

Amazon’s Worldwide Returns, ReCommerce & Sustainability (WW RR&S) division is looking for a System Development Engineer. This team is dedicated to driving Amazon’s vision of sustainability by managing the lifecycle of returned or damaged products and minimizing waste while maximizing reuse.

The ideal candidate will work across various software systems supporting item availability, shipping, and fulfillment. You’ll contribute directly to Amazon's customer promises and overall sustainability initiatives by resolving critical production issues, developing monitoring solutions, and automating support operations.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues

  • Design and develop monitoring tools to ensure system reliability

  • Perform SQL queries and system configuration

  • Automate repetitive support processes for improved efficiency

  • Work with software development teams to enhance Amazon’s in-house applications

  • Document and track system functionality and changes
