Software Engineer II – Microsoft 365 Security (Hyderabad)
Microsoft is hiring experienced Full Stack Software Engineers to work on Microsoft 365 Security products, including Microsoft Defender Antivirus and Advanced Threat Protection. This is a key engineering position focused on cloud-based, secure, scalable applications that protect millions of users worldwide.
As a member of this collaborative team, you’ll contribute to next-gen cybersecurity services using AI, ML, distributed systems, and modern front-end stacks.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain high-performance, cloud-native services for Microsoft Defender and ATP

Work across full-stack: cloud, APIs, frontend (React/PWA), and backend services

Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and UX to deliver secure solutions

Design and implement distributed, scalable microservices

Drive CI/CD pipelines, DevOps efficiency, and service quality metrics

Enhance malware detection, incident response, and cyber safety tooling
Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of industry experience in software engineering

Strong in data structures, concurrency, and algorithm optimization

Cloud development (preferably Azure) and dev-ops lifecycle exposure

Experience in modern front-end technologies: React, JavaScript, HTML

Proficient in backend: C#, Java, C++ or related
