💡 How Referral Givers Think:
Referrals are given with one goal: "If this person gets the job, I’ll get the referral bonus."
So naturally, they only refer candidates they believe can crack the interview. Here's what they look for — and what you need to have:
✅ 1. Right Resume for the Right Job
-
Your resume must match the skillset of the job.
-
First the candidate's resume should match with the skill set of the job otherwise they will be rejected by the HR. so you need to have clear understanding of your skill set is and which jobs role's you should target and the best resume for that particular job description.
Those who don't have these - you are rejected in 1st round
-
📌 Tip: You must clearly understand your own skills and the job roles you should be applying for.
✅ 2. Actual Skill Knowledge
-
Just putting skills on your resume isn’t enough.
After resume matches, the candidate should have good Knowledge of the skills that are given in the job description. Hands on experience like internships, projects are preferred.
-
If you don’t have that - You're rejected in the 2nd round.
-
📌 Tip: Start building or contributing to real projects ASAP.
✅ 3. Strong English & Communication Skills
-
Even if you have the knowledge, you must be able to explain it clearly in English.
-
The candidate should have English skills to present the knowledge they have about the required skills of that job. otherwise HR will reject them as not fit for role even though they have knowledge
Those who don't have these - You are rejected in 3rd round
-
📌 Tip: Practice explaining your projects and tech skills out loud.
✅ 4. Interview Etiquette & Practice
-
Once you reach the interview, how you present yourself, dress, speak, and answer plays a big role.
-
The candidate should have proper interview skills and knowledge how to present themselves in the interview, dressing, interview etiquette which comes from experience, mock interviews and such.
Those who don't have these - You are rejected in 4rth round
-
📌 Tip: Start attending mock interviews or watch real interview recordings.
